Increase in Steel forecast in April, how does this reflect for industries and consumers?
24 de March de 2022
In the month of April 2022, there is a forecast of an increase in steel prices by almost 20%.
Faced with rising raw material and input costs, driven by the Russia-Ukraine war, Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN)
will increase steel prices by 20%, said commercial executive director Luiz Fernando Martinez.
This adjustment will be passed on to Industries and the civil construction sector.
Given this situation, this increase reflects and interferes in the lives of all Brazilians. We remember essential products first,
such as home appliances, which also have their values readjusted, when Steel increases.
In addition to home appliances, the price of steel significantly impacts the automotive sector. In the automotive sector, steel represents 60% of the cost of a vehicle.
Implemar is an industry that supplies agricultural parts for sprayers. One of our main raw materials is Steel.
We are committed to maintaining our production with the highest possible quality, always seeking the best raw materials.
It is worth noting that steel sheets offer the ideal support, with lightness and practicality in handling, thus making it easier to achieve the expectations created on the product and still maintain the same standard of performance and utility.
In view of what is planned for April, we are optimizing and standardizing our routine processes in relation to raw materials to provide the best prices, even in the face of highs in the market.
Let's get to know a little about the history of STEEL?
Briefly, the great advance of steel came in 1856, when the steel industry was born, that is, it was the moment when Henry Bessemer developed an effective way of using oxygen to reduce the carbon content of iron.
Historically, one of the earliest forms of steel, blister steel, began production in Germany and England in the 17th century and was produced,
increasing the carbon content of cast iron using a process known as cementing. In this process, wrought iron bars were layered with powdered charcoal in stone crates and heated.
In addition, Englishman Benjamin Huntsman, discovered that metal can be melted in clay crucibles and refined. The result was molten steel.
And for you, what do you think will happen to the prices of steel derivatives in 2022?
